The Natio­nal Col­la­bo­ra­ting Centre for Women’s and Children’s Health (NCC-WCH) is a friend­ly and enthu­sias­tic team. We are fun­ded by the Natio­nal Ins­ti­tute for Health and Cli­ni­cal Excel­lence (NICE) to pro­duce evidence-based cli­ni­cal gui­de­lines for the Natio­nal Health Ser­vice. We work col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve­ly with Gui­de­line Deve­lop­ment Groups (inclu­ding heal­th­care pro­fes­sio­nals and lay repre­sen­ta­tives) and an exten­sive range of sta­ke­hol­der orga­ni­sa­tions. The Centre is based at the Royal Col­lege of Obs­te­tri­cians and Gynae­co­lo­gists (RCOG) and the Royal Col­lege of Pae­dia­trics and Child Health (RCPCH).

We have publi­shed gui­de­lines on Ante­na­tal care, Fer­ti­li­ty, Cae­sa­rean sec­tion, Type 1 dia­betes in chil­dren, and Long-acting rever­sible contra­cep­tion. Our cur­rent work pro­gramme includes gui­de­lines on :

• Uri­na­ry incon­ti­nence • Dia­betes in pregnancy
• Induc­tion of labour (update)
• Ante­na­tal care (update)
• Uri­na­ry tract infec­tion in children
• Feve­rish ill­ness in children
• Ato­pic ecze­ma in children
• Mater­nal and child nutrition
