Résumé (français) : | L’étude présente une revue de la documentation sur les bénéfices et les risques de l’épisiotomie de routine au cours du deuxième stade du travail. Des discussions existent sur les complications traumatiques périnéales ainsi que les conséquences périnatales. Les risques d’incontinence à l’effort et de dysfonctionnement sexuel sont évoqués. De nouvelles techniques permettant d’améliorer les résultats périnatals et de prévenir l’incontinence post-partum sont décrites. L’épisiotomie systématique donne de piètres effets dans de nombreux cas. Les massages périnéaux pendant la grossesse et la naissance dans l’eau sont les méthodes les plus intéressantes pour éviter l’épisiotomie de routine et améliorer la qualité de vie des femmes en post-partum. |
Abstract (English) : | The study presents a literature review on the benefits and risk of the routine episiotomy during the second stage of labour. Perineal trauma complications as well as perinatal outcomes are discussed. The risk of stress incontinence and sexual dysfunction are described. New techniques for improve of perinatal outcomes and prevention of post partum incontinence are described. Routine episiotomy gives poor effects in many cases. Perineal massage during pregnancy, waterbirth, are most interesting methods to avoid routine episiotomy and improve the quality of life in post partum women. |
