Abstract (English) : | Whilst acute NHS Trusts and PCTs are not under a strict legal obligation to fund or provide services to support home delivery, it is clearly best practice to make provision for this wherever possible and clinically safe. A clear understanding of the legal rights and responsibilities involved, together with clear documentary evidence to support decision-making is likely to provide the best protection possible against negligence claims and adverse publicity. |
