Argument (English): | A Danish study on the risks of babies who are too small (less than 3kg) or too big (4kg and over) according to the maternal weight gain for each category of body mass index (BMI), compared to American recommendations. As a result, American recommendations can be applied to women of normal weight, overweight and obese; but for underweight women, comparing the risks of too small babies with those of overweight babies, the study finds that the limit of maximum weight gain should be raised. |
