Résumé (français) : | Cet article commence par un bref survol de la littérature concluant que l’épisiotomie n’empêche pas l’hypotonicité du plancher pelvien, les déchirures, ni ne protège le foetus. L’épisiotomie augmente les risques d’infections, y compris les infections mortelles, provoque des douleurs à court et long terme, ainsi que des dyspareunies, et elle peut causer des déperditions sanguines “considérables”. |
