Résumé (français) : | Le contact peau à peau immédiatement après la naissance est reconnu comme une pratique exemplaire fondée sur des données probantes et comme un facteur d’amélioration de l’état de santé à court et à long terme, y compris la réduction de la mortalité infantile. Cependant, la mise en œuvre et la définition du contact peau à peau ne sont pas uniformes, tant dans la pratique que dans les études de recherche. Ce projet a utilisé le processus des lignes directrices de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé pour clarifier les meilleures pratiques et améliorer la cohérence de leur application. |
Abstract (English) : | Skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth is recognized as an evidence-based best practice and an acknowledged contributor to improved short- and long-term health outcomes including decreased infant mortality. However, implementation and definition of skin-to-skin contact is inconsistent in both practice and research studies. This project utilized the World Health Organization guideline process to clarify best practice and improve the consistency of application. |
Sumário (português) : | O contacto pele-a-pele imediatamente após o nascimento é reconhecido como uma boa prática baseada em provas e um contribuinte reconhecido para a melhoria dos resultados de saúde a curto e longo prazo, incluindo a diminuição da mortalidade infantil. No entanto, a implementação e definição do contacto pele-a-pele é inconsistente tanto na prática como nos estudos de investigação. Este projecto utilizou o processo de orientação da Organização Mundial de Saúde para clarificar as melhores práticas e melhorar a consistência da aplicação. |
Resumen (español) : | El contacto piel con piel inmediatamente después del nacimiento está reconocido como una buena práctica basada en la evidencia y como un factor que contribuye a mejorar los resultados de salud a corto y largo plazo, incluida la disminución de la mortalidad infantil. Sin embargo, la aplicación y la definición del contacto piel con piel son incoherentes tanto en la práctica como en los estudios de investigación. Este proyecto utilizó el proceso de directrices de la Organización Mundial de la Salud para clarificar la mejor práctica y mejorar la coherencia de su aplicación. |
