Résumé (français) : | Contexte : Une expérience positive de l’accouchement est un résultat important des soins de maternité. Une composante importante d’une expérience de naissance positive est la capacité à exercer son autonomie dans la prise de décision. Dans cette étude, nous explorons les rapports des femmes sur leur autonomie lors des conversations sur leurs soins avec les praticiens des soins de maternité pendant la grossesse et l’accouchement. |
Abstract (English) : | Background: A positive childbirth experience is an important outcome of maternity care. A significant component of a positive birth experience is the ability to exercise autonomy in decision-making. In this study, we explore women’s reports of their autonomy during conversations about their care with maternity care practitioners during pregnancy and childbirth. |
