Résumé (français) : | Lors des journées du CNGOF de décembre 2005, des recommandations sur la pratique clinique de l’épisiotomie ont été diffusées. Elles concluent que les conséquences de ce geste chirurgical ne correspondent en rien aux bénéfices attendus en matière de prévention des déchirures du troisième et quatrième degré, du prolapsus, des incontinences urinaires ou fécales, tout en laissant le soin à chaque accoucheur d’en évaluer la nécessité au cas par cas. Des recommandations pour le moins timides qui soulèvent déjà la critique des associations d’usagers. |
