“Le travail lent: la patience est une vertu.”

Ce que montrent les études scientifiques:

Ce sont souvent des facteurs non-médicaux qui déterminent le diagnostic et le traitement du travail lent. L’injection de hautes doses d’ocytocines comporte des risques. La gestion active est au pire inefficace, et au mieux sans utilité. Elle n’élimine pas les effets adverses de la péridurale.

Des stratégies simples et non-invasives peuvent faciliter la progression du travail, efficacement et sans danger, pendant la phase de dilatation, et rendre le travail plus agréable.

Les femmes accueillies à l’hôpital pendant le prétravail, ou tôt en début de travail, ont plus de risques de subir des interventions pendant le travail.
