Abstract (English)  :

Retro., 303 pts. with PCS undergoing TOL compared with control gp. Intrapartum transfer for medical management was necessary in 26 study patients (8.7%) and in 10.4% of controls. The overall rate of VBAC was 98.3 ws not sig different from controls vaginal rate of 99.3%. (There was a high percentage of prior vaginal deliveries along with history of PCS in study group). Conc.-in selected, low-risk patients with PCS, a TOL may be managed safely and effectively by certified nurse midwife in a hospital setting.
